Equality State Policy Center (ESPC) Collaborates with Mountain Movement Strategies (MMS) to Host 2024 Mini-RUN WY Event

LARAMIE, Wyo. – The Equality State Policy Center (ESPC) is proud to announce its partnership with Mountain Movement Strategies (MMS) for the upcoming 2024 Mini-RUN WY event.

The 2024 Mini-RUN WY event, a nonpartisan virtual gathering scheduled for Saturday, May 18, from 9 am to Noon, will be hosted via Zoom. With a focus on equipping potential candidates with the necessary skills and resources, MMS will deliver comprehensive training content, covering key aspects of candidacy preparation tailored specifically to the Wyoming political landscape.

Aspiring candidates will receive critical information in the presentation, like:

  • A candidate action plan template,
  • Information on filing procedures and candidate reporting requirements, and
  • A candidate messaging guide.

ESPC and MMS will also share a “civic engagement roadmap” for people who aren’t quite ready to run for office, but still want to get involved and make a difference.

“We are delighted to collaborate with Mountain Movement Strategies to empower aspiring candidates with the knowledge and resources needed to run successful campaigns,” said Jenny DeSarro, Interim Director at ESPC. “The 2024 Mini-RUN WY event promises to be an invaluable and accessible opportunity for all individuals passionate about serving their communities.”

“We are looking forward to providing vital information to folks who are interested in serving our beautiful state,” stated Karyn Chin,  Partner and Leadership Director at MMS. “As a seasoned team, we aim to equip potential candidates with what they need to run and win.”

The event will take place virtually via Zoom, on Saturday, May 18th from 9 am-12 pm with a registration fee of $20.00. If you are interested in joining but face financial constraints with the registration fee, please reach out to us via email to request a waiver. We aim to ensure that financial limitations do not prevent Wyomingites from seizing this opportunity.

This is a nonpartisan event and open to all Wyoming residents, regardless of partisan affiliation or filing status.
