Equality State Policy Center Hosts “The People’s Review: Live!” Event on Pride and Policy

LARAMIE, Wyo. – The Equality State Policy Center (ESPC) is excited to announce the latest installment of “The People’s Review: Live!”—a virtual event dedicated to exploring the intersection of LGBTQIA+ issues and policy. This event will take place on June 27th from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm and is free and accessible to all members of the Wyoming community.

Since 2020, ESPC has been virtually hosting The People’s Review Live!, connecting Wyoming residents with pressing issues and expert insights. This free and highly accessible series embodies ESPC’s commitment to education and community engagement.

For this webinar, we will explore the topic of Pride and Policy with experts, Chad Banks (Former Wyoming House Representative and Rock Springs Pride Chair), Mallory Pollock (Casper Pride’s Executive Director), and Santi Murillo (Wyoming Equality’s Communications Coordinator). These panelists will give a wide breadth of perspectives on the integration of LGBTQIA+ concerns into policy-making efforts and on-the-ground advocacy efforts.

At the Equality State Policy Center, we believe that Pride is not only a celebration of identity but also a call to action for policies centered around equity. Through initiatives like The People’s Review Live!, we strive to amplify diverse voices and drive meaningful change in Wyoming.

The webinar will include information about:

  • the current state of LGBTQIA+ policies in Wyoming and local areas,
  • pressing issues for advocates in the state, and
  • the importance of LGBTQIA+ involvement in the legislative process, voting, and local government.

Join the Equality State Policy Center and our esteemed panelists on June 27th at 12:00 pm. Register at equalitystate.org/peoplesreview
