ESPC Hosts Exclusive 2-part Webinar and Launches a Digital Report to Recap the 2025 Legislative Session

Laramie, WY– The Equality State Policy Center (ESPC) is excited to announce the return of its highly anticipated People’s Review Live & Legislative Accountability Project (LAP). This year’s legislative session in Wyoming was nothing short of historic. Over 800 bill drafts – of which more than 550 bills and resolutions were filed – led to critical policy decisions that will shape the future of the state.

Join us on April 9, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. for an exclusive virtual event as we recap this year’s legislative session with a representative from each of our coalition pillars: social justice, labor, and conservation. Then again, join us on April 29, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. for an overview of the 45 election-related bills filed and discussion of what is in store for Wyomingites as voters, as candidates, and as election poll workers.

These webinars align with the release of ESPC’s People’s Review LAP—a digital and physical report designed to guide and inspire hard-working Wyomingites to reach out to their elected Senators and Representatives for queries and conversation. “Our democracy depends on “we the people” – you and I – staying informed and getting involved. This means voting, asking questions, listening, speaking up, and ensuring our government is made for freedom to create, to improve the lives of everyone, to live and let live in our communities,” Jenny DeSarro, ESPC Executive Director.

In years past, the People’s Review LAP was the non-partisan go-to resource for tracking legislative votes and holding lawmakers accountable. After a five-year hiatus, we are re-launching this vital project to empower Wyoming voters with the tools to understand what their legislators voted for, how it will impact their lives, and the value of initiating a follow-up conversation with their elected legislators.

In addition to receiving a digital copy of the full project, attendees on April 9th will hear from a distinguished panel of experts: Kevin Reddy, President of Federated Fire Fighters of Wyoming; Jody Sanborn, Training and Technical Assistance Director of Wyoming Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault (WCADVSA); and John Burrows, Energy and Climate Policy Director of Wyoming Outdoor Council. The panelists will break down several of the session’s most significant bills and resolutions related to labor, social justice, and conservation; as well as try to answer your burning questions.  Attendees on April 29th will hear from ESPC’s Policy Director, Marissa Carpio, and guest election experts who will help unpack the myriad of bills worked during the session, pose questions on what is trying to be solved or hindered for voters and those who implement Wyoming’s elections, along with providing real, actionable advice on how to interact with your legislators moving forward.

The People’s Review Live & Legislative Accountability Project aims to put the power of government back into the hands of Wyoming voters by enhancing both transparency and accessibility of what happened in the 2025 Legislative Session while inviting one-on-one follow up conversations to better understand and convey the nuances associated with votes, bills, and issues.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to get involved! The event is free and open to the public. Be sure to register early to receive your digital copy of the legislative review.
