Tips for contacting your legislators: Be timely. Be personal. State your district. Tell your story. Text, call, or email.
1. Oppose burdensome registration tactics, that could disenfranchise voters.
This bill requires documentation for proving residence and adds a 30-day residency requirement for voters:
- This bill creates unnecessary barriers to voting, Wyoming does not have a widespread voter fraud problem.
- It could potentially disenfranchise marginalized groups, like women in shelters, those on the Wind River Reservation, unhoused Wyomingites, and transient populations.
- This bill leaves it up to the Secretary of State to determine which documents are used for proving residency, which could be damaging for those groups. An amendment added in a attestation, so folks who struggle to produce documentation can attest that they live at the address listed.
This bill now includes a requirement for proof of citizenship. More burdens, no payoff.
2. Oppose hand-counting in our election processes.
4. Support removing dark money from Wyoming politics.
