In the coming weeks, public testing of election equipment will be taking place across Wyoming. These events have underscored the incredible dedication and precision of our county clerks. I recently had the privilege of attending a public test in Albany County, where the Clerk’s office operated like a well-oiled machine, ensuring every step of the process was transparent and secure.
When I signed in, I was one of four individuals who had signed in to observe, and the only person there not representing a political party. What I witnessed was a tremendous amount of work to guarantee the integrity of our state’s elections; the clerks meticulously preparing the machines that ultimately counted our votes during the Primary election.
This process was carried out across the state, with teams of county officials working together to ensure that our machines were ready for the big day. This will occur again, as it has for years, to prepare for the November 5th General Election.
If you’re planning on attending one of these public tests, I urge you to keep that dedication in mind. Especially when outside forces propagate doubt and attempt to throw accusations at the very patriots that carry out our Wyoming elections process with diligence and security.. I hope you get the opportunity to see, firsthand, the thoroughness and care that go into protecting our democracy.
If you aren’t planning on attending one of these public tests, I hope you can try to find time to read, view, or watch the County Clerk Association of Wyoming (CCAW) presentation on how our machines are run and tested. That way, when bad actors try to germinate the seeds of doubt in regarding our voting process, you can explain exactly how honest and fair elections are carried out in Wyoming.
Happy testing!
