The State of Wyoming’s decision not to close the coverage gap by providing Medicaid insurance to low-income Wyoming residents is costing the state economy millions of dollars each month. People can go to the ESPC’s website home page to view a graphic depiction of the fiscal impact of the Legislature’s inaction on the Wyoming economy.

In response to rising tensions in the wake of the EPA ruling on the boundaries of the Wind River Reservation, the ESPC has produced a report explaining the administrative and legal process that produced the boundary determination. The report, in FAQ format, answers other questions about the effects of the ruling on tribal and non-tribal people living in the disputed area. The release also notes that tensions in the Fremont County community have been heightened by two Wisconsin-based groups known for their opposition to tribal sovereignty.
