The Equality State Policy Center works in the public policy arena to lift the voices of Wyoming people so policy-makers hear them. Our work can be divided into three general areas:
  1. Accessible Process: transparent legislative process, robust reporting requirements, open meetings and public records;
  2. Tax and Fiscal Policy: mineral severance taxes, property taxes, sales taxes, tax breaks and tax expenditures, distribution of tax revenues, budget process; and
  3. Working Wyomingites: safe workplaces, secure retirement, access to affordable health care, and employee rights.

Mission statement

The Equality State Policy Center, a broad-based coalition of Wyoming interests, works through research, public education and advocacy to hold Wyoming state and local governments accountable to the people they represent; to encourage and assist state residents to participate effectively in public policy decision-making.
